“The enemy of Israel carried out the aggression… which led to the death of three martyrs and some material losses,” the Syrian state news agency wrote, SANAciting local military sources, Saturday (21/5/2022).
Missiles surface-to-surface it came from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights and was partially intercepted by Syrian air defense systems.
Correspondent AFP in the Syrian capital reported very loud noises last night.

The war monitoring group, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said three of the dead were officers. According to the group, four crew members of the Syrian air defense system were injured.
“Israeli strikes targeted Iranian positions and weapons depots near Damascus,” the Observatory said.
According to the group, the fire broke out in one of the areas near the Damascus airport, where ambulances were seen rushing to the scene of the attack.
Previous attacks occurred on May 13 that killed five people in central Syria, and another near Damascus on April 27 which, according to the Observatory, killed 10 people, including six Syrian soldiers, in the deadliest attack since early 2022.
