On January 22, the Israeli military (IDF) published a post on its websiteswhere they write that they carried out an operation in a kashbakashba Kasba is Arabic and means castle or citadel – an inner part of a larger fortress complex in Beit Hanoun in the north of Gaza.
A picture on the website shows a soldier firing a rocket launcher from a roof.
Dagbladet writes on Wednesday that they have submitted a number of photos and videos of Israeli soldiers using this weapon to Norwegian experts.
Lieutenant-Colonel Palle Ydstebø at the War College tells the newspaper that he is unable to see which version is in the picture, or where it was produced, but that it is clear that the weapon is an M72.
– That it is an M72 is clear, and the grenade that goes out is strongly characteristic of anti-structure ammunition, says Ydstebø.

Communications Director Thorstein Korsvold at Nammo confirms to the newspaper that only Nammo produces the M72.
Dagbladet has also presented the images to Tom Røseth, head teacher in intelligence at the Norwegian Defense Academy:
– Looks clearly like the M72 to me.
Nammo is 50 percent owned by the Norwegian state, while the other half is owned by the Finnish company Patria. It has previously been discussed whether weapons from the company are in use in the war in Gaza.
The Palestine Committee is among those who have believed that Israeli forces are using Nammo weapons in Gaza, and who have demanded a halt in all weapons production that strengthens Israel’s warfare.
Norway does not sell weapons to Israel. But in addition to a factory in Raufoss, Nammo also has a factory in Arizona in the USA. Although the company is owned by Norway and Finland, the USA is subject to its own export control regulations.
The class struggle wrote in November that the USA has sent rocket launchers to Israel, which are manufactured by Nammo’s factory in Arizona in the USA.
Nammo has so far not commented on the allegations.
– We do not have the opportunity to contribute with the identification work in this case, writes director of information Thorstein Korsvold in an SMS to Dagbladet.
