Details The Israeli Navy’s special forces unit Shayet 13 carried out a raid in northern Lebanon last night, capturing a Hezbollah representative, the military confirms.

Details: The Times of Israel notes that the IDF, Hezbollah operative, Amhaz is considered an “important source of knowledge” within the terrorist group’s naval forces.
The publication also says that Amkhaz was handed over to Israeli intelligence for questioning.
Lebanon’s acting transport minister, Ali Hami, said Amhaz was the captain of a civilian vessel, while Hezbollah has not commented on allegations of his involvement.
Lebanon’s interim prime minister Najib Mikati said Lebanon would lodge a complaint with the UN Security Council and had asked the Lebanese army and the UN peacekeeping mission to investigate the incident.
However, in a statement, an Israeli military official noted that “the IDF will continue to operate where necessary to protect the State of Israel and its citizens.”
