Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adrain wrote on Monday, in a post on his account on the “X” platform: “The IDF attacked targets belonging to Hezbollah in various areas in southern Lebanon, targeting a building in which an element was detected through reconnaissance operations.”
He added, “Fighter aircraft recently raided Hezbollah infrastructure in the area of the village of Dhahira in southern Lebanon.”
He continued, “Yesterday (Sunday), a visual intelligence analyst monitored, through intelligence gathering methods, an element entering a military building belonging to Hezbollah in the Aita al-Shaab area. Immediately after the observation, fighter planes were alerted to attack him within a short period.”
He added, “Over the last twenty-four hours, the party’s rocket launcher was attacked in the Aitaroun area, along with infrastructure in the Adissa area, and artillery fire was fired towards other areas on Lebanese soil.”
He concluded: “In addition, this morning, the remains of an aircraft were spotted in the Erbil area in the Lower Galilee in an open area, where it is likely that the plane does not belong to the IDF. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, and IDF forces and the Israel Police are present at the scene.”
