Israeli Forces Raid Largest Hospital in Gaza, 340 Dead and 750 Injured Since Beginning of War

The Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, confirmed that 340 people had been killed, 750 injured, and 100 health personnel were arrested since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Kaila said in an exclusive interview with Al-Hurra TV, on Sunday, that “the out of service of Nasser Hospital and Al-Amal Hospital is a disaster in every sense of the word.”

She pointed out that “the health situation in Rafah is modest, and there are only two hospitals, in addition to the Emirati field hospital. What made the situation worse is that Rafah contains the largest number of residents and displaced people.”

The Palestinian Minister of Health pointed out that “there are one million and 900 thousand displaced people in Rafah, and that the population density is 97 thousand citizens per square kilometer.”

She added, “If Israel enters Rafah by ground, there will be massacres that are unparalleled in contemporary history, so these atrocities must be stopped before they happen.”

The minister pointed out that “the Gaza Strip is witnessing a major shortage of health personnel, and there is an urgent need to establish field hospitals in the north, center and south of the Strip.”

She added, “We have repeatedly called for not targeting health facilities and medical staff, and this war is a war against hospitals, and this is in violation of international humanitarian law.”

The Nasser Medical Complex in the city of Khan Yunis was officially out of service on Sunday, according to the World Health Organization and health authorities in the Gaza Strip, after Israeli forces raided it in the middle of the week.

The largest operating hospital in Gaza is “out of service”.. What is happening in the Nasser Complex?

The Nasser Medical Complex in the city of Khan Yunis in Gaza was officially out of service on Sunday, according to the World Health Organization and health authorities in the Strip, after Israeli forces raided it in the middle of the week.

Israel also plans to storm Rafah in southern Gaza, where more than a million Palestinians have taken refuge, raising international concern that such a move will sharply worsen the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

On October 7, Hamas militants launched an unprecedented attack on southern Israel, leaving about 1,200 dead, most of them civilians, according to a count conducted by Agence France-Presse based on official Israeli data.

In response to this attack, Israel pledged to “eliminate” Hamas, and launched a massive attack on Gaza that killed about 29,000 people, the vast majority of them civilians, women and children, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health.

Talks are taking place between the United States, Egypt, Israel, and Qatar in an effort to stop the war and release the hostages held by Hamas.
