Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that Israeli fighters launched raids on the vicinity of the towns of Al-Safari and Janta in the Bekaa Valley, eastern Lebanon. Hezbollah confirmed that it launched operations against the Israeli occupation army in a number of areas and shot down a drone over Lebanese territory.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent explained that Israeli fighters targeted with missiles the mountain highlands surrounding the town of Jinta on the eastern chain of mountains separating Lebanon and Syria.

For its part, Hezbollah said that it attacked 10 Israeli sites and shot down a Hormuz drone over Lebanese territory. The party added that it targeted the drone jamming system at the Al-Asi site, and bombed the Al-Zaoura camp and gatherings of soldiers at the Ramia site and the Shumira, Shtoula, and Zebdin barracks.

The party also bombed the sites of Ruwaisat al-Alam, al-Malikiyah, al-Jardah, Jal al-Alam, and the vicinity of the Shlomi settlement.

For its part, the Israeli army admitted that an Air Force drone had fallen on Lebanese territory after being targeted by a surface-to-air missile.

Israeli media said that 9 missiles were monitored from southern Lebanon towards the Shebaa Farms area, 5 of which were intercepted, while the rest fell in an open area.

The Israeli army spokesman said that he had detected a number of rockets launched from southern Lebanon and landing in open areas in the Western Galilee. He added that 5 missiles were launched from southern Lebanon at night towards the Shtoula area, and were responded to by bombing their launch source.

The military spokesman also said that warplanes bombed a number of Hezbollah infrastructure in the areas of Aita al-Shaab, Arnoun, and Tayr Harfa in southern Lebanon.

Israeli army artillery also opened fire in the areas of Alma Al-Shaab and Al-Sawana in southern Lebanon during the night, with the aim of removing unannounced threats.

In solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been exposed since October 7 to a devastating Israeli war with American support, Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon exchange intermittent daily bombardment with the Israeli army, resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides of the dividing Blue Line, most of them in Lebanon.
