The Turkish Foreign Ministry said the measures in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the Sheikh Jarrah district in East Jerusalem, clearly showed Tel Aviv’s intention to strengthen the occupation rather than a desire for peace.
“It hurts more and more one’s conscience to witness these actions, which Israel is accelerating in the current period, as Palestinians seek to combat the negative consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
“We urge the international community to show solidarity with the Palestinian public against Israel’s expansionist policies,” he continued, as reported by Anadolu Agency on Sunday (21/3/2021).

In his speech at the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, the permanent representative of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz Al-Wasil said that the seventh item is the main item on the agenda of the Human Rights Council and the Saudis will never accept marginalization of this item.

Meanwhile, Kuwait asked the United Nations to activate a legal mechanism to ensure Israel is held accountable for the continuing violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, and prevent Israel from impunity.
