Israel delivered the supplies to the Permanent Contingencies Committee (Copeco), so that the civil protection entity could be in charge of its administration.
According to the report, the products will benefit vulnerable families in communities in the northern region that suffered flooding and temporary displacement as a result of the phenomenon.
The Embassy selected the aid according to the priority needs indicated by the Government of Honduras. In that sense, the donated products include diapers, wet towels, soap and toilet paper.

“The State of Israel stands alongside the communities affected by Tropical Storm Sara during the current emergency, recognizing that there will be a long road to recovery. The Embassy will continue to seek to assist vulnerable Honduran communities that need it,” added the diplomat.
For his part, the Minister of Copeco, José Jorge Fortin, expressed his gratitude to the Israeli Embassy for this valuable donation.
Honduras appreciates the helping hand of the Israeli people.
“We thank you in advance, on behalf of our President and the entire government… This also serves to strengthen the ties of friendship between both countries that we have had for years,” he expressed.
