Israeli doctor dispels myths popular among Russians about COVID-19 coronavirus

Israeli doctor Boris Bril, who specializes in the treatment of coronavirus, dispelled the myths about the infection that exist in Russia. According to him, first of all, Russian doctors make the wrong diagnosis. This is reported by “Actual News”.

According to the doctor, coronavirus is primarily a disease that affects the lungs, but not pneumonia.

“Deaths are due to cytokine storms, thrombosis or respiratory distress syndrome. This has nothing to do with pneumonia, ”Brill said.

Boris suggested that Russian experts misdiagnose people because they cannot distinguish pneumonia from coronavirus.

“When diagnosing pneumonia with coronavirus, a person is given certain therapy, which is deliberately incorrect,” the specialist said.

Boris also noted that antibiotics are not prescribed for the treatment of viral diseases. There are a number of other drugs that can be used to treat the virus. The physician added that the severity of the disease depends on saturation, state of consciousness and the number of breathing movements.

“With a mild form of coronavirus, oxygen saturation ranges from 100 to 92 at room temperature, and breathing is 10-22 per minute. The patient has a temperature that goes astray, there is no fever. A person understands where he is and what is wrong with him. In this case, treatment is drinking plenty of warm water, paracetamol, ibuprofen and aspirin. It is very important to do breathing exercises and keep calm! ” – said Boris Bril.

The specialist added that before prescribing antibiotics, the patient needs to donate blood, urinalysis and biochemical blood tests. If there is no leukocytosis, antibiotics cannot be prescribed.
