Israeli Defense Minister warns Hezbollah about war in Lebanon and Gaza, Hezbollah introduces new weapons: Latest Updates

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant on Saturday warned the Hezbollah group against dragging Lebanon into war, adding that what Israel is doing in Gaza can be done in Beirut.

Galant told soldiers on the northern border in a video clip broadcast on Israeli television channels: “Hezbollah is about to make a grave mistake. The residents of Beirut may end up in the same situation as the people of Gaza.”

He continued: “I say here to the citizens of Lebanon, that I already see the citizens of Gaza marching with white flags along the coast and moving south,” adding: “Hezbollah is dragging Lebanon into a war that may happen, and it is making mistakes, and if it commits mistakes of this kind here, who will pay?” The price is first, the citizens of Lebanon. What we do in Gaza, we know how to do in Beirut.”

The Israeli Defense Minister added: “Our pilots are ready, and the noses of the planes are pointing towards the north. We have enough to do everything we need in the south, but the air force is directed towards the north and its strength is very large, and we did not use even ten percent of the air force’s power in Gaza.”

Nasrallah: We introduced new weapons

The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, said on Saturday that new weapons had entered the battles with Israel, pointing to the use of “swooping drones and volcano missiles” to strike Israeli targets.

Nasrallah added, during a speech on the occasion of “Hezbollah Martyr’s Day,” that “there is an advance in depth, whether with Katyushas or drones, and this is what was necessitated by the nature of the battle.”

He continued: “One hospital in the Galilee received more than 350 wounded soldiers and settlers, and a large number of them arrived with serious injuries,” referring to strikes launched by the party in areas of northern Israel.

Nasrallah continued: “There is something that we did not announce, which is the daily entry of reconnaissance marches, some of which reach Haifa, Acre, and Safed,” pointing out that “some of the marches return and some do not return, and we want them not to return, because it depletes Iron Dome and the Patriots, and this is work.” There may be up to 3 marches per day.”
