Israeli bombing targets Marjayoun after a violent night… What does the southern scene look like in the morning?

Attention is turning to southern Lebanon with the entry into force of the truce in Gaza, and after a qualitative and unprecedented escalation in Hezbollah’s military operations yesterday, which was accompanied by violent Israeli bombing of southern towns.

This morning, shortly before seven in the morning, Israeli bombing targeted the center of the Marjayoun Plain, while strong, successive explosions were heard throughout the Marjayoun district.

Since seven o’clock, a state of cautious calm has prevailed in the villages of the western and central sectors.

Yesterday evening, hostile warplanes launched two raids on the town of Adisa, Marjayoun district, the first near the town’s mosque, which led to major damage to property and shops, and the second on the road to Adaisa and a boat, targeting food warehouses.

An assistant in the Internal Security Forces was also slightly injured in his hand and leg as a result of the bombing that targeted the vicinity of Adaissa police station at midnight last night, which led to the windows of the police station being shattered.

Israeli artillery also bombed with heavy shells, intermittently, just before midnight, the outskirts of a number of towns in the western sector (Naqoura, Alma Al-Shaab, Al-Dhaira, and Jabali Al-Labouneh). Military aircraft also raided the outskirts of the towns of Yarin and Marwahin and the outskirts of the town of Aita Al-Shaab.

Throughout last night, the Israeli army fired flares over the Tire district and the sea coast, and conducted reconnaissance flights until the early hours of dawn.
