Israeli Bombing Leaves Jordanian Field Hospital in Gaza Out of Service

The Jordanian field hospital in Gaza was completely out of service on Saturday, as a result of the intense Israeli bombing of the surrounding areas, according to Jordanian media.

The Jordanian Al-Mamlaka TV channel reported that damage was caused to the areas surrounding the Jordanian Field Hospital, in the Tal Al-Hawa area of Gaza City, and the roads leading to it were cut off.

She added that damage was caused to the same hospital in Gaza as a result of Israeli strikes in the war, which has entered its eighth day.

Before this bombing, the hospital was suffering from difficult conditions, such that it was no longer able to provide its services due to a lack of supplies, according to Jordanian media.

This development comes in light of the difficult situation facing hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

Jordan had established a field military hospital in Gaza in 2009, shortly after the first war launched on the Strip.

The United Nations says that the health system in the Gaza Strip is on the verge of collapse, and that time is running out to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.

According to the United Nations World Health Organization, Israel launched 34 attacks on health care in Gaza, damaging 19 health facilities and killing 11 health workers as well as wounding 16 others.
