JERUSALEM – 14 members of a family were killed in an Israeli bombardment last night on a house in Rafah, a town of 1.1 million Palestinians in southern Gaza. This includes 5 children, including 4-month-old twins. Rania Abu Ansa, a resident of Rafah, lost her twin babies within a few weeks of the Israeli attack on Gaza. It was after 11 years of waiting that Rania and her husband Abu gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl; Named Wasam and Naeem. Abu was also killed in the bombing. ‘They were asleep. What did they do wrong?’, Rania lamented during the funeral.
Fifteen children have died of malnutrition and dehydration in recent days at the Kamal Advan Hospital in Gaza City, as the famine spreads. Palestinian Health Minister Mai Al Kayla called for the world to call for a united ceasefire and for the US to stop supplying Israel with weapons.
