The first messages about the attack came on social media today around 11:30 Norwegian time. Al Jazeera television channel has published a video which shows great destruction after today’s attack.
So far, it is unclear how many people have been killed or injured.
The editorial staff of Faktisk Verifiserbar, which consists of journalists from several Norwegian media houses, has checked that the photos match the location.
They write “The images correspond to the content of the Arab TV channels on their live broadcasts on Wednesday at 12 o’clock. The incident happened in the refugee camp and the images show the location. We are working to verify the exact location in the refugee camp.”

Attacked two days in a row
Also yesterday, the Jabalia refugee camp was attacked from the air, the largest refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. The AFP news channel then reported at least 47 dead and several hundred injured.
Yesterday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that they were behind the air attack on the Jabalia camp, and they said in a statement that the aim of the attack was to hit a high-ranking Hamas officer. No one has so far claimed responsibility for the attack today.
Tell people to go south
Jabalia is located on the outskirts of Gaza City, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, which Israel has tried to empty of residents ahead of the ground invasion. But hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have defied the warnings and remained in their homes.
In recent days, there have been reports that Israeli forces are trying to besiege Gaza City, as well as block the road to the south so that it becomes impossible to travel between the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.
For the second day in a row, the Jabalia refugee camp is said to have been attacked. The image has been verified by Faktisk.no.
