Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
At least 21 people died in the troops’ latest attack Israel in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, after the ceasefire ended, Friday (1/12).
The Gaza Ministry of Health recorded that dozens of people died as a result of brutal Israeli attacks throughout Gaza from north to south.
In detail, two people died in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza. Seven people died in Maghazi, central Gaza.
One person died in Khan Younis City, southern Gaza. Two people died in Hamad City, south of Khan Younis.
As well as nine people died in Rafah, on the border of Gaza and Egypt, it was reported Al Jazeera.
Israel launched this attack after a seven-day ceasefire with Hamas expired without additional days. The ceasefire began on November 24.
Before this new attack occurred, Israel claimed its missile defense system intercepted rockets fired from Gaza. This claim emerged an hour before the ceasefire ended.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the rocket was detected by Iron Dome sirens sounding in a community area near the Gaza Strip.
According to the Israeli military, this rocket was the first launched from Gaza since the first day of the ceasefire. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the rocket launch a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Hamas has not commented so far regarding the IDF allegations.
