Beirut, Lebanon. One person was killed and 15 others were wounded on Saturday in a new Israeli attack in the southern suburb of Beirut, a stronghold of Hezbollah, according to a new provisional balance from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
“The Israeli enemy carried out an attack” near an intersection “in the southern suburb” of Beirut, the Lebanese state news agency (Ani) reported.
There was no call to evacuate from the Israeli army before the attack.
According to an AFP photographer at the scene, the attack targeted an abandoned building, on the ground floor of which is a car and motorcycle dealership.
The southern suburb of Beirut has been regularly targeted by Israeli attacks since late September.
With the intensification of Israeli attacks, a large part of the inhabitants abandoned this area, adjacent to the country’s only international airport.
More than 1,900 people have been killed in Lebanon since September 23, when Israel intensified its attacks on Hezbollah strongholds, according to a tally based on data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
