BEIRUT> In Lebanon, 37 people, including two senior Hezbollah leaders, were killed in an Israeli attack on a residential area in southern Beirut. Hezbollah confirmed that 16 soldiers were killed, including the senior leader Ibrahim Aqui and the commander Ahmed Wahbi.
Many civilians were killed, including three children and seven wounded. UN political affairs chief Rosemary DeCarlo told the Security Council that if the attack continues, the impact will be greater than the damage done so far.
