Israeli Army Targets Military Infrastructure in Syrian Territory: A Response to Attacks on Israel

Today, Monday, the Israeli army published a video that it said was of a bombing that targeted military infrastructure in Syrian territory.

The Israeli army said in a post on its account in “X”: “In response to launching operations from Syria towards Israel earlier on Sunday, an Israeli Air Force aircraft bombed military infrastructure in Syrian territory.”

The army did not reveal further details about the nature of this infrastructure or the losses caused by the strike, but the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that Israeli fighters launched raids after midnight on Daraa, specifically in the vicinity of Nawa in the western countryside of the governorate.

Since the beginning of 2023, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has counted 45 times during which Israel has targeted Syrian territory, 32 of which were air and 13 ground.

These strikes resulted in the injury and destruction of about 93 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles.
