Israeli Army Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure Sites in Southern Lebanon as Confrontations Continue

The Israeli army announced that its aircraft carried out raids last night on a number of Hezbollah infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon, while the party’s fighters targeted occupation sites on the other side of the border, as part of confrontations sparked by the war on Gaza.

The occupation army stated that the air strikes targeted military sites, infrastructure facilities, and ammunition and weapons depots, and published pictures of what it said were the moments of the raids.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids targeting the vicinity of the towns of Yater, Al-Salhani, and Bara’shit in southern Lebanon.

The correspondent said that Israeli artillery bombed the surroundings of the towns of Shebaa, Kafr Shuba, Kafr Kila, Blida, Alma al-Shaab, Naqoura, and Aita al-Shaab.

Targeting Israeli sites

Meanwhile, Lebanese Hezbollah announced in successive statements that its fighters targeted, with appropriate weapons, Israeli technical and spy equipment in the Bayad Blida and Metulla sites.

The Islamic Resistance, the party’s military arm, said that its members also targeted, with guided missiles, the Ras al-Naqoura naval site, the equipment of the Jal al-Alam site, and the Baranit barracks and its garrison.

Hezbollah mourned two fighters who were martyred yesterday in confrontations with Israeli forces, which brings the total number of the party’s martyrs in the current confrontation to 47.

Leaders in Hezbollah confirmed that the party may become more involved in the war if the Israeli occupation invades Gaza.

On the other hand, Israel threatened Hezbollah with a “devastating” response if it decided to enter the war in support of the Palestinian resistance.
