Israeli army finds “modern” Russian weapons in Lebanon

Many of them left their homes due to cross-border fire between Israel and Hezbollah after the start of hostilities in the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year.

“A new civil war in Lebanon would be a tragedy. We certainly do not intend to provoke it. Israel is not going to interfere in the internal affairs of Lebanon,” Netanyahu said in an interview with Le Figaro.

“Our only goal is to allow our citizens who live along the Lebanese border to return home and feel safe,” he said.

At least 1,373 people have been killed in Lebanon since Israel launched airstrikes against Hezbollah, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.
