In a remarkable security development, the people of the town of Kafar Shuba in the Arqoub area woke up this morning to Israeli warning leaflets dropped by a drone over the town and the neighbourhood, warning the people of the “dangers” of Hezbollah operations.
The leaflets bearing the flags of Hezbollah and Lebanon stated: “To the residents of southern Lebanon, we would like to inform you that Hezbollah is taking advantage of the opportunity to infiltrate your homes, your pure lands, and the areas where you work and live, in order to work against the State of Israel, and to exploit your property for its terrorist plans.”
The post continued: “You must stop this terrorism for your safety, by being careful in the region… Hezbollah members concealing themselves in civilian areas is the real danger, and this is what causes harm to you!”
This is the first time since the start of the war in southern Lebanon, on October 8, that the Israeli army has dropped such leaflets over the border towns.
This comes at a time when the Israeli army continues its violent artillery and air strikes on southern towns.
