Jenin is an arena of ongoing war… and the Authority: Netanyahu calls for chaos
Israel turned the city of Jenin and its camp into a small battlefield, after a massive attack that lasted more than 48 hours, during which it killed 8 Palestinians, wounded others, and arrested about 200.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, Al-Quds Brigades, and Al-Aqsa Brigades in Jenin announced that their fighters were engaged in violent clashes with the occupation forces in the camp, which led to casualties among its ranks, in addition to confirmed casualties in vehicles.
The armed factions confirmed that, in addition to direct confrontations, their fighters used explosive devices against the invading army.
The Israeli army announced that 4 of its soldiers were injured during the clashes in Jenin, which also witnessed the Israeli army blowing up homes and destroying roads.

The official Palestinian News Agency said that the Israeli army killed 8 Palestinians, arrested dozens, bombed seven homes, seized a number of vehicles, and caused great destruction in its campaign against Jenin.
Security sources reported that the occupation forces bombed seven homes with Energa missiles in Jenin and its camp. They also bombed commercial stores in the Al-Saha area in the camp, and prevented civil defense crews from approaching the targeted homes to put out the fires.
During the large-scale operation, Israeli forces raided and seized homes and turned them into military points and barracks, and they also deliberately destroyed the infrastructure in the camp. According to local figures, on Wednesday, Israel arrested about 70 Palestinians from Jenin.
Israel has advanced in the West Bank since October 7, in an effort to kill and neutralize all wanted persons and armed cells, taking advantage of the major war on the Gaza Strip.

A spokesman for the Israeli army said that its forces, the General Security Service, and the Border Guard launched a campaign in the Jenin camp, and, as of Wednesday evening, searched more than 400 buildings, arrested hundreds, confiscated weapons and types of ammunition, and destroyed explosive devices and many terrorist infrastructure, as he put it.
The statement said: “During an ongoing activity that lasts more than 30 hours, army reserves, border guards, and engineering forces, under the guidance of the General Security Service and the Military Intelligence Service, act as part of a campaign to thwart terrorism led by the Menashe Brigade in the Jenin camp.”
The statement added: “So far during the activity, forces have searched hundreds of buildings and arrested hundreds of suspects for investigation. About 30 weapons, many types of ammunition, military equipment, and many weapons were confiscated. Six laboratories for manufacturing explosive devices were also destroyed, several underground excavation holes found in the vicinity of the camp, four reconnaissance operations rooms, and many explosive devices that were found during combing operations. The statement added: “The forces continue their activity.”

Calling for help in chaos
While the Palestinian Foreign Ministry considered the invasion of Jenin to be “an Israeli call for chaos to escape future political entitlements,” Hamas said it was “a desperate attempt to extinguish the flame of resistance.” The Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday that the Israeli army’s invasion of the city of Jenin and its camp in the northern West Bank for the second day is “brutal” and represents “a call for help in chaos.” “Escape from any future political entitlements.”
The Foreign Ministry added: “We view with great seriousness the danger of this ongoing invasion, and we warn of its results and repercussions, and the collective punishments and devastation it will leave behind, which expresses the retaliatory crisis mentality that controls decision-making in Tel Aviv.”
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of “igniting more fires in the arena of conflict, and trying to hide his expansionist colonial plans behind successive waves of escalation, whether in the Gaza Strip or in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in order to prolong his continuation of rule.” We reject all international and American demands and appeals calling for the protection of Palestinian civilians.”
The Foreign Ministry stressed that a political solution to the conflict is the only way to achieve peace, security, and stability for the Palestinian and Israeli sides, and called on the American administration to “put an end to Netanyahu’s hijacking of the Palestinian and Israeli people for the benefit of his narrow political ambitions.”
As for “Hamas,” it called on the Palestinians in the West Bank “to escalate resistance in all cities and villages, until the occupation is defeated from our land and our Islamic and Christian sanctities.”
