The Israeli army announced, Monday morning, that it attacked a cell in Lebanese territory that “intended to launch an anti-tank missile into a safe area.”
The Israeli army spokesman said that the anti-tank launcher that the cell was using was destroyed.
The spokesman said in a statement, “According to suspicion, the group planned to launch an anti-tank missile at a safe area,” without specifying it.
An Israeli army plane also raided a cell operating in the border area and destroyed weapons in its possession.
On the other hand, Hezbollah mourned at dawn on Monday a new member of its members, bringing the number of its fighters killed during confrontations with Israel since October 7 to 26.
The southern Lebanese border has witnessed tension since the start of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” on Saturday, October 7, when the Lebanese “Hezbollah” announced the killing of a number of its members as a result of Israeli bombing and military operations, while the Israeli army announced a number of deaths among its members as a result of armed clashes and shelling from Lebanon.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that if Hezbollah entered the war, it would lead to unimaginable destruction for the party and Lebanon.
Netanyahu added that if Hezbollah decided to enter the war, it would yearn for the Second Lebanon War and would make the mistake of his life, referring to the July 2006 war.
