Israeli Airstrikes on Aleppo and Damascus Airports Leave Runways Inoperable

The Syrian state news agency SANA reported that Israel carried out airstrikes on Aleppo and Damascus airports this morning, damaging the runways and rendering them inoperable.

SANA reported that one civilian worker was killed and another was wounded in the attack in Damascus.

The statement said Aleppo airport was allegedly attacked by Israel on October 14 and 12, while Damascus International Airport was allegedly attacked only on October 12.

Both airports have been hit repeatedly over the past year as Israel is believed to be intensifying efforts to prevent the supply of advanced weapons from Iran to its various Middle Eastern proxies, chief among them the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah.

The cursor wrote that the Pentagon gave the order to activate air defenses “across” the Middle East.
