Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza Kill 250 in One Day on Christmas, Netanyahu Vows to Expand Fighting

As Israeli airstrikes continued on the Gaza Strip in Palestine on Christmas Day, an additional 250 people were killed in one day.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the war was not over yet and that he would expand the fighting.

Israeli military airstrikes continued on Christmas Day in the Gaza Strip, which is ruled by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas.

The Gaza Strip’s Ministry of Health said, “250 people were killed and 500 injured in the last 24 hours,” and “the total number of deaths since the start of the fighting on October 7 has increased to 20,674.”

The Gaza Strip’s Health Ministry also said, “The death toll could rise further as this airstrike targeted residential areas,” adding, “Many of the victims were women and children.”

Damage on the Israeli side is increasing, with 17 Israeli soldiers dying during the battle over the Christmas holiday.

The number of killed has risen to 156 since the Israeli army began ground warfare eight weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that the war would not stop.

“We will not stop and we will not stop until we win, because we have no other country and we have no other way.”

Meanwhile, in his Christmas message, Pope Francis called children dying in wars, including in the Gaza Strip, “today’s little Jesuses” and lamented that innocent civilians are suffering enormous sacrifices due to Israeli attacks.
