A spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Tuesday that at least 500 people were killed or wounded in an Israeli air strike on the National Arab Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry reported in a statement that “200 to 300 displaced people were killed, who were bombed by the occupation in the hospital yard” in the central Gaza Strip, noting that there were “hundreds under the rubble.”
For its part, the government media office in the Gaza Strip condemned in a statement “a new war crime committed by the Israeli occupation by bombing Al-Ahli Al-Arabi Hospital in the center of Gaza City.”
He pointed out that “the hospital contained hundreds of patients, wounded, and people forcibly displaced from their homes due to the raids.”
Israel is still launching raids on various areas in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the Hamas government’s media office in Gaza stated that the number of children killed as a result of Israel’s attacks on the Strip since October 7 rose to 940 and women to 1,032.
About 3,000 people were killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing intense Israeli bombing since October 7, according to a new tally published by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
The ministry recorded “about three thousand dead and more than 12,500 wounded” in the Gaza Strip.
