Israel is the only one of the competition’s 37 member countries that will not participate in the competition’s opening ceremony on Sunday.
The opening of the Eurovision Song Contest will be celebrated on Sunday, May 5 in Malmö, Sweden, at around 5:30 Finnish time.
The event opens with a turquoise carpet, which has become a tradition over the years.
