Israel temporarily suspends passenger plane operations

Israel has decided to temporarily ban international airliners to block the virus.

According to local media, the Israeli government held a ministerial meeting and approved a proposal to suspend international flights proposed by a meeting of authorities presided over the prime minister.

The Prime Minister’s office explained that this is a measure to prevent the introduction of additional mutant viruses.

With this decision, all international airliners at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv will be banned for six days from 00:00 on the 26th until the 31st, when the third blockade ends.

This is a strong action taken by Israel, who has been testing mass immunity, to stop the spread of the infection.

Israel has secured large volumes early on condition of providing real-time vaccination data to Pfizer, with vaccination rates approaching 30% of the population.
