Military attack Israel to Gaza, Palestine, it’s getting crazier. Now, Israel is targeting underground targets.
Reported AFP and Al ArabiyaSaturday (28/10/2023), a number of fighter jets Israel bombarded 150 underground targets in the northern Gaza Strip. The attack occurred when the Israeli military began launching ground operations into Gaza on Friday (27/10) evening.
In a recent statement, the Israeli military said “underground targets” in the battered Gaza Strip include “terror tunnels, underground combat rooms and additional underground infrastructure.” They also claimed that a number of Hamas members were killed as a result of the attack.
“In addition, several Hamas terrorists were killed,” the Israeli military said in a statement, without providing further details.
Several correspondents in the Gaza Strip and southern Israel reported that attacks and air attacks continued on Saturday (28/10) local time. However, the intensity of the attack was not as strong as on Friday (27/10) evening local time.
Israeli Ground Troops Enter Northern Gaza
The Israeli military stated that its troops had entered the northern Gaza Strip since Friday (27/10) evening. Israel claims this was done to increase attacks against the Hamas group.
Infantry troops and armored vehicles, accompanied by massive air strikes, were deployed by the Israeli military to the Gaza Strip. Reported Reuters and Al ArabiyaSaturday (28/10/2023), this was conveyed by the Israeli military which has just announced the expansion of ‘land operations’ against the Gaza Strip.
Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said Israeli troops were still “on the ground” and the war was continuing. Hagari claimed Israeli forces had ‘made progress through several stages’ in the war and expanded the scope of their operations, although he did not explain what he meant by this.
“Troops are still in the area and continuing the war,” Hagari said at a press conference, as reported Al Jazeera.
