Israel Targets Civil Defense Crew Heading to Rescue Operations in Gaza City

At dawn on Monday, the Israeli army targeted a civil defense crew that was on its way to participate in rescue operations after the bombing that targeted Gaza City.

Palestinian sources said that the number of deaths of ambulance and civil defense crews after the Israeli army targeted them reached 7 people.

The Gaza Civil Defense spokesman said that the Israeli army “bombed our crews while they were heading for a rescue mission in Tal al-Hawa.”

At dawn on Monday, Israel intensified its raids on the areas of Jabalia, Tal al-Hawa, and the main roads in the Gaza Strip, according to a Sky News Arabia correspondent.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs warned that fuel reserves in all hospitals in the Gaza Strip are expected to last only about 24 hours.

The office added on its website, “Stopping backup generators will put the lives of thousands of patients at risk.”

For his part, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Sunday called on Hamas to release the hostages it is holding without any conditions. He also called on Israel to allow humanitarian aid to enter the Palestinian Gaza Strip quickly and without any obstacles.
