According to the information provided by the Israeli armed forces, three rockets launched from Syria fell on the Golan Heights on Saturday evening, and several rockets were shot down by Israel’s air defense. There are no reports that anyone was injured in these missile strikes.

In response to these missile strikes, the Israeli armed forces, using artillery and aviation, struck military targets on Syrian territory, including missile launchers, radar systems and artillery positions, the Israeli armed forces said.

Israel occupied the Syrian Golan Heights in 1967 and annexed it in 1981. The only country that recognizes the Golan Heights as part of Israel is the United States, which made such a decision in 2019 during the administration of President Donald Trump. The rest of the world considers the Golan Heights to be Syrian territory occupied by Israel.
