Israel Strikes Hamas Missile Launch Point Using New “Steel Sting” Weapon: IDF Reports

Israel used the Steel Blade weapon against Hamas for the first time. This was reported by the IDF press service.

The strike was carried out on a Hamas missile launch point, from which Israel was fired upon, the IDF explained.

“Members of the Magellan commando unit used the Steel Sting weapon for the first time and attacked the launch point of the terrorist organization Hamas, from which rockets were launched into Israel,” the IDF website says.

“Steel Sting” is a mortar shell that allows for precise strikes against terrorist targets in populated areas, while increasing lethality and reducing the risk of harm to civilians, the report notes.
