Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

A boy Palestine 13 year old killed by police gunfire Israel in the midst of clashes during a settlement construction protest in the West Bank on Friday (5/11).

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the teenager, Mohammed Daadas, died in hospital after being shot in the stomach during clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli forces in the village of Deil al-Hatab, east of Nablus.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh said that Daadas’ death was organized state terrorism.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army said it was reviewing the incident.

“The rioting occurred on a route adjacent to the Elon Moreh community,” the Israeli army said in a statement to AFP.

The Israeli army said the incident occurred as they were trying to disperse the riots. They stated that troops opened fire directly at people throwing stones at the soldiers.

In addition to the reported deaths, five Palestinians were also injured on Friday in other clashes in the villages of Beita and Beit Dajan in the north of the West Bank.

The Israeli military said it had dispersed the riots in two locations. At that time, about 140 people threw stones at the Israeli troops.

The wave of protests from Palestinians comes days after Israel announced it would advance plans to build 3,000 homes for Jewish residences in the West Bank.

Meanwhile, Israel is also advancing the project to build 1,300 houses for Palestinians in the West Bank.

Currently, 475,000 Israelis live in the West Bank. It is also home to more than 2.8 million Palestinians.

Palestinians view the West Bank as part of their future state. The West Bank was captured by Israel in the 1967 Six-Day War, but is not recognized by the international community.

The international community also condemned the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, including the United States government under President Joe Biden.
