On Sunday, for the first time in a year, most schools are also open, where classes gather for full-time classes rather than in small groups. In class, students still have to wear face masks.

Thanks to the rapid vaccination campaign, the number of new cases of Covid-19 in Israel has decreased. There are currently about 200 people seriously ill with Covid-19. At the end of January, about 1,200 Covid-19 patients became seriously ill.

In Israel, approximately 5.3 million people have received at least one dose of Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19, and nearly five million have received both doses.

However, experts warn that crowd immunity has not yet been achieved in Israel, and about a million Israelis over the age of 16 have still not been vaccinated.
