Israel provides health insurance to Ukrainian refugees. – IsraelValley

Avigdor Liberman and that of Social Affairs, Meïr Cohen, have decided to grant health insurance to Ukrainian refugees who have arrived since the start of the war.

The insurance is intended for refugees over the age of 60 and people with disabilities. It will be similar to that granted to the olim hadashim.

Ukrainian refugees will also be able to receive emergency care, paid for by the State, in the dispensaries of ‘Terem’. The insurance policy also covers consultations with the general practitioner and the pediatrician, prescription of drugs, blood tests, x-rays, ultrasounds and cardiac examinations, among others. In some regions, they can even consult specialists. ‘Terem’ will set up telephone lines for remote consultation in Ukrainian, Russian and English.

The Ministry of Social Affairs will provide the refugees with temporary accommodation, food aid, material aid and assistance in claiming their rights.

Avigdor Liberman justified this policy: “Giving health insurance and free medical first aid is a basic and important mark of solidarity. I am happy that this program is seeing the light of day, in cooperation with my friend, the Minister of Social Affairs, Meïr Cohen”.
