Israel postpones entry permit for vaccinated tourists

Israel’s Ministry of Health Director General Nachman Ash said in a press briefing today that the authorities have decided to postpone the resumption of individual tourism.

“We are postponing the date of entry of tourists, this will not happen on August 1. Unfortunately, the current situation does not allow us to let tourists through,” said a ministry spokesman, adding that a new date has not yet been determined.

Now only organized groups of tourists can get to Israel. As Ash noted, when the spread of the Delta strain is gaining momentum in the world, it is not the time to travel, so the Israeli authorities are studying how to limit foreign travel.
