– The Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip, under the Hamas government, announced a new toll of 41,586 deaths in the Palestinian territory since the start of the war with Israel, almost a year ago.
At least 52 people have been killed in the past 48 hours, it said in a statement, adding that 96,210 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip since the war began on October 7.

Hezbollah does not confirm the death of its leader Nasrallah, which was instead announced by the Israeli army. This was reported by Agence France-Presse, citing sources close to the group.
The Shiite movement reiterates, however, that it has not been able to contact its leader Hassan Nasrallah since yesterday evening: “Contact with Hassan Nasrallah was lost on Friday evening,” said the same source.
