The coronavirus pandemic is spreading across the country “significantly”, researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem warned on Friday.
“The virus is spreading across all sectors and all age groups,” they said.
The Hebrew University team offered several suggestions to contain the outbreak, primarily working to delay the spread of the Omicron variant in the country.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced that the borders would remain closed to tourists for an additional 10 days from Sunday.
