In his address to the Israeli citizens, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained that the country will respond to Iran’s strike.
“Iran is behind all the threats against us. They fired hundreds of missiles at us in one of the largest attacks in history. No country in the world would accept such an attack, nor will Israel accept it,” declared the Israeli prime minister.
“Israel has the duty and the right to defend itself and respond to such attacks – and that is what we are going to do,” he added.

Netanyahu’s attack on Macron
In his taped message a while ago, Benjamin Netanyahu personally addressed French President Emmanuel Macron, who earlier today called for an end to arms shipments to Israel until there is an agreement on a cease-fire in Gaza.
In a strong tone, the Prime Minister of Israel spoke of “shame that will follow them even years after the victory in today’s war”. Emmanuel Macron has recently expressed strong concern about Israel’s ground operations in Lebanon.
France maintains very close relations with Lebanon with Macron also in the country four years ago shortly after the explosion that swept through the port of Beirut in 2020.

Israel: The country is on high alert ahead of the October 7 anniversary due to the fear of possible attacks
Israel’s military said today that its forces have been put on high alert ahead of the anniversary of Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, stressing that militants are seeking to carry out attacks in the country.
“This week we will commemorate the anniversary of the war and October 7th. We are ready to increase our forces ahead of this day,” military spokesman Daniel Haggari said during a televised news conference, without further elaborating.
IDF: Plans ‘severe and significant’ response to Iranian attack
Israel’s military is planning a response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Tuesday night and warned on Saturday that it would be “severe and significant” and that it was devoting much of its time to planning it.
Israel’s defense forces said Iran’s attack with about 200 ballistic missiles at the country would “have consequences”.
In particular, according to reports in the Israeli press, the IDF clarified that the fight is currently taking place on seven different fronts, as alongside the ongoing fighting in Gaza and the West Bank, Israeli soldiers and forces are involved in operations in Lebanon, Iran and its proxies in Yemen, Syria and Iraq.
In the meantime, all possibilities for the blow that Israel will choose to respond remain open with Washington, in fact, as an American official told CNN that he has not received any assurance from Israel that a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities is out of the question, he said in CNN top US State Department official on Friday, as the West awaits Tel Aviv’s response to the missile attack launched by Tehran last Tuesday night.
The official added that it is “really hard” to predict whether Israel will use the anniversary of the October 7 attacks by Hamas to retaliate.
“We hope and expect to see some wisdom, as well as strength, but as you know, there’s no guarantee,” the official said when asked by CNN if Israel has assured the US that Iran’s nuclear facilities are off the table.
