Ran Balicer, Clalit’s Head of Innovation, said that although the results were “preliminary and self-reported”, they allowed comparison of side effects with a second dose, and “it turned out that in most cases they were similar or lacking in booster”.
“While we do not yet have long-term studies on the efficacy and safety of booster doses, these findings continue to demonstrate the benefits of immunization now, along with caution among citizens. Adults should still avoid gathering in closed spaces,” said Balicer.
