Israel increases attacks on the region Gaza. It was reported that 55 people died as a result of the attack.
“More than 55 people were martyred,” the government press office said in a statement on the final night of bombing in response to Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, reported by AFP, Sunday (22/10/2023).
More than 30 homes were destroyed within hours after an Israeli military spokesman said raids would be stepped up.
Hamas says more than 4,300 people have been killed, most of them civilians, in Israeli attacks since the war began in response to the worst attack Israel has suffered in which 1,400 people were killed.
Israel has deployed tens of thousands of troops around Gaza to carry out a land invasion. It said their daily attacks have killed many Hamas leaders and military commanders.
“Starting today, we are increasing attacks and minimizing the danger,” an Israeli military spokesman said late Saturday.
“We will increase attacks and therefore I ask the residents of Gaza City to continue moving south for their safety,” he continued.
Israel has repeatedly urged the 1.1 million people north of Gaza to move south before carrying out a ground operation.
Hamas criticized the lack of aid coming, despite 20 trucks arriving in the Palestinian territories on Saturday. It is said that there are currently 1.4 million refugees in the enclave.
“The aid arriving in Gaza is not enough for one day. We call on the international community to pressure the Israeli government to bring in thousands of trucks,” the statement said.
