Eight people were killed by gunfire this afternoon in Jaffa, south of Tel Aviv, according to the latest tally reported by Israeli media.
The Israeli police spoke of dead and seven wounded from a terrorist attack.
They said two attackers were “neutralized” on the spot. Photos of them from store cameras showing the two gunmen were released by Israeli media. The attack took place at a tram stop on Jerusalem Avenue.
Police said they were investigating reports of another terror attack at a hotel near Tel Aviv. There is no further information from this attack.
