A response followed in the direction of the source of the Syrian shelling
The Israel Defense Forces announced that they had responded to projectiles fired from Syria into Israel on Tuesday evening, The Jerusalem Post reported.
“Part of the projectiles passed into Israeli territory and probably fell in open areas,” the military said, but without giving further details, adds the BBC.
The Israeli military added that its soldiers “responded with artillery and mortar shells in the direction of the source of the Syrian shelling”.
