Israel Defense Forces Report Finding Explosives in Hamas’ Hanyounis Hideouts

Israel believes that the leaders of the Palestinian militant group “Hamas” are hiding in Hanyounis.

The Israel Defense Forces reported that they had found explosives in the homes of Hamas members. The buildings where explosives were found were destroyed. Israeli soldiers also found several tunnels and weapons.

The Israeli army also said it had found and destroyed one of Hamas leader Yahya al-Sinwar’s hideouts near Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sinwar is now believed to be hiding in Hanyounis. This Hamas bastion is currently one of the main points of the Israeli ground forces’ offensive in the Gaza Strip.

The Israel Defense Forces announced that the purpose of their operations is to secure control over the district on the outskirts of Hanyounis, from which on October 7, Hamas terrorists attacked the Niroz kibbutz, which is located in Israel right on the border of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army has called on the residents of Hanyounis to evacuate to the town of Rafah on the Egyptian border.
