Israel Cuts Internet and Telephone Lines in Gaza Strip, Says Paltel

Jakarta

Telecommunication company Paltel said Israel cut internet and telephone lines in the Gaza Strip on Sunday evening local time. This has happened for the third time since the start of Israel’s war with Hamas on October 7.

“We regret to announce the total closure of communications and internet services in Gaza after Israel cut off its servers,” Paltel said in a statement as reported by AFP, Monday (6/11/2023).

As is known, Israeli attacks have killed nearly 10,000 Palestinians, including thousands of girls.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations – the largest Muslim advocacy and civil rights organization in the US – condemned the massacres carried out by Israel against Palestinian civilians, including the attack on the Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

“It is imperative for the international community to step in to stop the Israeli government’s genocidal, racist, apartheid, campaign targeting the Palestinian people, the scope of which is astonishing in its indiscriminate attacks on refugee camps, fleeing refugees, journalists, medical facilities, ambulances, mosques , churches, vital infrastructure and now educational institutions and UN facilities,” he said.

“The fact that our country facilitated this genocide is a moral stain that will remain for generations to come. There must be a ceasefire now,” he said.
