Israel / Covid-19: Ministerial Cabinet Adds Countries To Red List From Tuesday Including US

People wishing to travel to these countries must first obtain special permission

The ministerial cabinet on the management of the coronavirus approved Monday morning the placing on the “red” list of additional countries from Tuesday, in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

Subject to a vote in favor of the decision by the Knesset parliamentary committee, Belgium, Italy, the United States, Germany, Hungary, Morocco, Portugal, Canada, Switzerland and Turkey will be placed on the list of banned destinations, in the wake of the spread of the Omicron variant.

Last week, Israel added nine countries to the “red” list, including the UK, Denmark, France, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Norway, Finland and Sweden.
