The work was done under the leadership of the political echelon.
COGAT also indicated that five trucks with refrigeration equipment for the transfer and storage of vaccines entered Gaza on Friday.
COGAT said that children who have not yet been vaccinated will be able to do so in the coming days, as local and international medical teams plan to administer the vaccine in various locations in Gaza.
Most of the population of Gaza was vaccinated against polio
COGAT said that since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas, 282,126 vials of polio vaccine have been transferred to Gaza.
Last week, IDF international spokesman Nadav Shoshani said that in the first quarter of 2024, about 90% of the population of Gaza was vaccinated against the viral disease, which affects the mass – affects children and spreads through contaminated food, water or contact with an infected person.
On August 16, the Hamas-run Gaza Ministry of Health said it had identified the first case of polio in Gaza.
