In April 2016, Hamas said it had arrested four Israeli soldiers while hiding their identities, except for Oron Shaul, an Israeli soldier who went missing since Israel’s 2014 attack on Gaza.
“We must condition the development and reconstruction (in Gaza) not only with calmness, but also on the repatriation of the bodies of soldiers and civilians who were held hostage in Gaza,” said Gantz, as reported by Anadolu Agency on Sunday (23/5/2021).

He said that Israel would change its policy towards Gaza by resolvingly retaliating against incendiary rocket or balloon fire from the area.
