Israel bans UNRWA, Saudi Arabia says Guinea

“This move is a clear violation of international law and a direct violation of the rules of international legitimacy, considering the unprecedented humanitarian disaster that our Palestinian brothers are facing,” the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in the statement, as cited by the news agency. In his statement, Saudi emphasized the rejection of Israel’s systematic practice of targeting UN agencies and their humanitarian agencies. Riyadh believes that such practices only hinder efforts to achieve peace in the region.

“The (Saudi) Kingdom affirms that it firmly rejects the constant and systematic use of the Israeli occupation authorities to target UN organizations and their assistance groups politically and militarily, which are part of of its persistence in carrying out crimes of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people. and destroy Palestinian identity, and hinder efforts to achieve complete and just peace,” the Saudi Foreign Ministry said.

In addition, Saudi reaffirmed its support and solidarity with UNRWA and its humanitarian mission for Palestinian refugees.

“The Kingdom (Saudi) renews its support and solidarity with UNRWA in its humanitarian mission to support Palestinian refugees in all areas, especially since the organization is one of the products of Security Council Resolution 194 of 1948 , which is one of the legal issues. and durable materials to support the right of return of Palestinian refugees,” stressed the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
