Army Israel launch an attack on the territory Syria. Damascus International Airport was reportedly the target of the airstrike.
Reported by AFP on Monday (2/1/2023), the attack occurred around 02:00 in the morning local time.
The Israeli military attacks using successively fired missiles. The Syrian news agency SANA, citing the country’s military, reported that the attack targeted the airport and the area around the airport.
“The missile barrage targeted Damascus International Airport and the surrounding area,” a military source was quoted as saying by SANA.
As a result of the attack, at least two people were reported dead. Service activities at Damascus airport were also reportedly halted.
“Two soldiers died … causing disruption of services at Damascus International Airport,” the military source said.
